Elusive

Elusive is an appropriation piece illustrating a process of grief. The project shows fragments of memories from lost times, reminiscences of places that are still familiar reminders of Line Matson’s grandmother but now only retrievable through photographs. The viewer is being invited to interact with the work through a non-traditional viewpoint. The images are being blocked by a square that is hovering above the photograph which results in the viewer having to look in from either side of this square.

“An intimate experience of a glance of a memory, a past that is shared, a remembrance of my beloved grandmother.
